International Day of Peace September 21st
September 21st 1982 was the First International Day of Peace.
This year on September 21st in hundreds of countries, people are planning to create a more peaceful world.
Peace One Day is one organization trying to create a Global Truce on Peace Day; A world wide intentional event to bring people together through art, sport, music, dance and meditation. People will send a call for an end to violence, in every country, in every city and home.
This is a lofty goal, but not impossible. Through small and large acts we can all send out Peace, Love and intention for a more tolerant world.
Find a way this Friday to celebrate Peace.
Take one minute to be grateful for every blessing you have in this life, and send Peaceful thoughts out into the world.
As we move closer to a global village in every way, we need to remember that a village is made up of people just like you. Every thought and action towards creating a more peaceful and loving world will be amplified.
Be a part of the world’s biggest Peace Movement. It doesn’t matter how big or small your action is, just do it!
In the words of John Lennon; All we are saying is Give Peace A Chance.
John Lennon
If someone thinks that love and peace is a cliche that must have been left behind in the Sixties, that’s his problem.
Love and peace are eternal.
John Lennon
The world remembers John Lennon

Imagine Peace
It was 40 years ago this week that John Lennon and Yoko Ono made history by staying in bed. In a hotel room in Montreal. It was 1969. I was not yet born but the images and songs of that week are ingrained in our popular culture and in my mind forever.
All We Are Saying Is Give Peace A Chance.
There is no peace today, but John Lennon’s music and the love he saw and reflected into the world still does exist.
In tribute to him I write this post.
John said ” Whatever you do, do it for Peace.”
